With Za tím, Amplión Records steps out of its jazz label role for a moment. The singer-songwriter with a pleasant voice who hides behind the pseudonym Jean-Jacques, and who teaches at the PORG grammar school in Prague, plays acoustic rock with his band, or, if you like, pop in a slightly alternative guise. Almost all of the songs were co-written by Andre CooK, Jean-Jacques’s musical companion since childhood and his bandmate in Doo-Bop.
The record contains twelve original songs, melodic, with a pleasant sound and lyrics in which not everything is said directly. There is simply something behind it, as the title suggests. The CD includes a remix by Vladimír Vesmír and the video for the song Cent as bonuses.
