Our
Label

Amplion Records is an independent Czech label focused on jazz and contemporary improvised music. On the domestic scene it has gradually earned respect above all for supporting the original projects of Czech musicians, from the emerging generation to established figures looking for a space for their own, stylistically open work.

The label is valued for its careful production and the high sound quality of its recordings. Several titles released by Amplion, such as the debut album of Vertigo Quintet and the projects of the band Limbo, have reached the wider jazz public and won awards or nominations for the Anděl prize. Recordings from the label’s catalogue also appear in reviews by international media such as All About Jazz.

Amplion Records is not a commercially oriented mainstream label; its activity is of a cultural and documentary nature. Over the long term, the label contributes to mapping and presenting Czech jazz and improvised music at home and abroad.
