Olga Škrancová is a jazz singer. She graduated from the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and studied singing with the mezzo-soprano and teacher Jarmila Chaloupková, who lists her among her pupils. Since childhood she has been close to spirituals, but her main repertoire is jazz standards from early swing to bebop. She has performed in Prague jazz clubs (U Malého Glena, Agharta, Železná) with her band A.H. Band. Her debut album is When I Fall In Love (2003), which was also the first recording released by Amplión Records. She recorded it with the pianist Ondrej Krajňák, the guitarist Jaroslav Kantor, the double bassist Tomáš Baroš, the drummer Radek Němejc, the saxophonist Radovan Tariška and the trumpeter Július Baroš; the record contains eight standards.
