Los Quemados are a Prague fusion band founded in 2008 by the bass guitarist and composer Filip Spálený. They play exclusively their own repertoire on the border of jazz, funk and Latin American and African music, inspired by John Coltrane, Michael Brecker, Chick Corea and Weather Report, among others. The current line-up consists of Filip Spálený (bass guitar), Jakub Doležal (saxophones), Jan Bálek (keyboards) and Petr Mikeš (drums, percussion), who replaced Ondřej Pomajsl; the saxophonist Luboš Soukup also used to play with the band. Four albums (African Sailor 2010, Sirius 2012, Circling Bird 2015 and Duck Night 2019) were released on the Slovak label Hevhetia. The band released its fifth album Perfect Sphere in 2025 on Amplión Records and launched it on 26 February 2025 at Jazz Dock.
