Bizarre Band came into being around 2012 around the music and drama project Café Bizarre and the association BodyVoiceBand, with which the band still works (for example on the production Vojna after E. F. Burian). The seven-member line-up consists of Klára Suchanková (vocals, violin), Štěpán Klouček (vocals, guitar), Dušan Navařík (vocals, flute, metallophone), Zdeněk Dočekal (piano), Pavel Husa (double bass), František Tomášek (accordion) and František Otakar Kukula (drums). The repertoire is based on Klára Suchanková’s lyrics, with music and arrangements mainly by Zdeněk Dočekal and Dušan Navařík. In terms of genre the band moves between chanson, folk, jazz, swing and pop. After the debut V krajině naměkko (2016) and a double album with Jan Burian (2017), it released the album Dokola ticho on Amplión Records in 2021. More at bizarreband.cz.
