Singer, lyricist and keyboard player, a graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, where she studied voice with Virginie Walterová and piano with Zdeněk Páleníček. She has moved through blues, early jazz and swing (the Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra, the vocal trio Hot Sisters), is a member of the vocal sextet Skety and of the Okamžitý filmový orchestr led by her brother Varhan Orchestrovič Bauer, with whom she recorded an aria for Miloš Forman’s film Goya’s Ghosts. She guests with the Berg Orchestra, studies Middle Eastern music and microtonality, and writes poetry in English. With her own project Alice Bauer Q she released the album The Way I Am. On the album Za obzorem ticha she wrote the lyrics of Rainbow and sings on the folk song Ej, slniečko horúce.
