Luboš Soukup (born 1985) is a saxophonist, clarinettist and composer. He studied at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, in Katowice and in Copenhagen. He belongs to the generation of Jaromír Honzák’s protégés and has played in his band for many years. He divides his time between Prague and Copenhagen, where he launched several projects: a quartet with guest Lionel Loueke (album Země, Animal Music, 2017), the ensemble Machina Mundi with analogue synthesizers, the free-jazz Freetown Quartet and the duo Levitas with Christian Pabst. After fifteen years he returned to Prague in 2026 and recorded the album Amber Rails with a Czech band. He is a co-founder of the quintet Inner Spaces (Anděl award for Light Year, 2012), which released the album Jarní/Vernal (2017) on Amplión Records. He teaches saxophone at HAMU.
