When three seasoned musicians, keyboardist and singer Jakub Zomer, guitarist Luk\u00e1\u0161 Chejn and drummer Martin Kop\u0159iva, met in 2024, it was clear that something exceptional was in the making. Bio Trio was born, a group built on the original compositions of Zomer and Chejn, the distinctive sound of the Hammond organ, energetic guitar and an uncompromising groove.<\/p>\n\n\n

In two years of active gigging the band has played dozens of shows (from intimate club nights to festival stages) and built a loyal fan base. As the number of concerts grew, the most frequent question after the shows became: “So when will you have a record?”<\/p>\n\n

It was precisely the listeners’ interest in a studio recording that led the band to talks with Amplion Records at the beginning of this year. “Originally we were only thinking of a digital release for streaming platforms. After talking with the label, however, we decided that the recording also deserves a proper analogue format and will come out on vinyl,” the band members explain.<\/p>\n\n\n

In June 2026 the trio entered Sono Records studio for three days and recorded the complete material of 10 tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n

The recording is now in the final stage of mixing and mastering with producer Ale\u0161 Charv\u00e1t.<\/p>\n\n

The culmination of Bio Trio’s journey so far will be the launch of the LP on 21 November 2026 at Prague’s Jazz Dock club.
